St Vincent's Nursing Home

St Vincent’s is a purpose-built modern nursing home situated in an idyllic woodland setting on the brow of Haste Hill, adjacent to the historic Ruislip woodlands in Eastcote/Northwood, Middlesex.

Our home is a beautiful building which has been developed to provide 60 individual ensuite bedrooms with a variety of shared communal areas for dining, social and therapeutic activities.

The home is situated on the site formerly occupied for almost 100 years by the renowned St Vincent’s Orthopaedic Hospital which has now been demolished.

The new nursing home opened in June 2006 and meets all the current Nursing Home Care Standards providing, in addition to the personal amenities, assisted bathrooms and showers together with small dining rooms and lounges within the four wings.

The home is decorated and equipped to a high standard throughout. The designs are based on the advice and suggestions not only from the statutory bodies with whom we work in partnership, but also from people who use the services and their families. Individuals are encouraged to bring with them personal belongings and bedrooms are decorated to personal choice. There are comfortable, well-furnished lounges, dining and kitchenette areas and pleasant patios that look out to our grounds. Families and friends are encouraged to visit.

Every opportunity is taken to create the homely atmosphere that our residents have been used to, including access to the surrounding landscaped gardens with wheelchair-friendly paths and raised flower beds. Residents who are able to do so are welcomed to take an active part in the gardening at the home.

On-site facilities include small lounges and reading areas, and outside professionals who can offer additional services to our residents: chiropody, physiotherapy and hairdressing requirements for example. A programme of activities throughout the week is also offered.
